Alleycat's Story

Mark, the founder of Alleycat’s is a British but the family is deeply rooted in Italy. He has a strong and continuous relationship with Italy and of course he has a unique emphasis on authentic Italian cuisine as well.

At the time Mark came to Taiwan, he couldn’t find authentic Italian cuisine in Taiwan and he especially misses Italian pizza. That’s why he started to think about introducing Italian cuisine to Taiwanese and started the restaurant, Alleycat’s with his friends. The story of the name is from Mark’s nickname given by his grandma when he was young. He often wandered in the alleys at night when he’s younger so his grandma described him as a cat in the alley. The vision of Alleycat’s is not only to introduce Italian cuisine to Taiwanese people but to alleviate the homesick of the foreigners in Taiwan.
