Hushan 1914 Creative Park Street Performer and Outdoor Performance Application Management Regulations

To support street performers and provide diverse performing arts events, while also maintaining quality of visit, Huashan 1914 Creative Park formulated the regulations to effectively manage the arrangement of non-regular outdoor performances in the park.

I、Time and Venue

 

１．Performance Time:

  • Monday to Friday－(Evening 18:00-21:30)
  • Saturday, Sunday (including Holidays)－(Afternoon 14:00-18:00; Evening 18:00-21:30)

Note: Saturday, Sunday afternoons are first reserved for park’s scheduled activities. When time becomes available, the applicants will fill in the vacant timeslots based on order of application.

2．Venues and Types of Performances: (Refer to attached map for locations)

  • New Corridor (Section A): General performances
  • Rice Wine Alley Boardwalk (Section B): General performances except for musical activities with higher volume.
  • Art Boulevard Entrance (Section C): General performances except for musical activities with higher volume.
  • Art Boulevard End (Section D): General performances except for musical activities with higher volume.
II、Qualifications:
  1. ROC Citizen: Age 20 or above with valid ROC citizenship.
    (Performers with special talents under the age of 20 shall have guardians or legal representatives sign an affidavit and file application on their behalf)
     
  2. Foreign Nationals: Age 20 or above with valid alien residency.
III、Application and Selection Procedures:

Application for Huashan 1914 street performer and outdoor performance will be carried out in six cycles; each cycle will open to applications for performances in the next two months (i.e.: 10/1-10/10 opens to applications for performance times in November and December).
The same applicant (individual or group) shall be limited to applying for one timeslot per week (maximum five in a month). Applicants are limited to applying for one venue per day.
 

  1. Application Method
    ■　Phone
    　Only people with disabilities or over the age of 65, who have no access to the Internet, may apply via phone. They will enjoy priorities on the first day of the even-number month at the beginning of each cycle (or the first business day when the first day of the month is a holiday) from 10:00-14:00 to make reservation via phone (Phone No.: 02-23581914 ext. 530).

    ■　Online Application
    　Online application opens from 12:00 on the first day (or the first business day when the first day of the month is a holiday) to 23:59 on the 10th of the even-number month at the beginning of each cycle.
     
  2. Document Review
    Three business days after the deadline, preliminary document review will be conducted for all applicants. Those who pass the preliminary review will be notified and invited to the park for an interview.
     
  3. Interview
    Interviews with applicants passing the preliminary review will be conducted prior to the 20th of the even-number month at the beginning of each cycle.
     
  4. Public Announcement of Selection Result
    On the 21st of the even-number month at the beginning of each cycle (or the next business day if the day is a holiday), Huashan 1914 official website will post public announcement of the result as well as timeslots that are still available.
     
  5. Filling in for Vacancies
  • Vacant timeslots will be open to online application from 21st to 25th of the even-number month at the beginning of each cycle.
  • Vacant timeslot application is not restricted by the terms: “The same applicant shall be limited to applying for maximum five timeslots a month,” and “Applicants are limited to applying for one venue per day.”
  • Selection for vacant timeslot application will be completed from 26th to 30th of the even-number month at the beginning of each cycle.
  • On the 31st of the even-number month at the beginning of each cycle (or the next business day if the day is a holiday), Huashan 1914 official website will post public announcement of the result.
